How to use free command in Ubuntu to check memory usage

Human Readable Format

free -h

show total memory (mem + swap)

free -t

show memory in formats (e.g megabytes, free –help to check more formats available)

free -m

refresh in seconds

free -s [time]

refresh every 5 seconds

free -s 5
